It started with a DM. Doesn't it always? He was a digital artist, with an intensity every bit as smoldering as his captions were tantalizingly cryptic. Our first date was at a neon-infused 'speakeasy' where the cocktails were glowing just like my stupid, hopeful heart. We were talking about Kandinsky, quantum physics, and how his ex 'didn't get him'—massive red flag? Probably.
