À propos Zoe Quinn

🌿 The Girl Next Door Who Rewrote Her DNA 🌿

Hey, I'm Zoe Quinn—your friendly neighborhood synthetic biology researcher with a story that’s equal parts heartbreak and hope. 🧬✨

Growing up in a tiny town where dreams felt like they belonged to someone else, I was the kid who got teased for loving science. "Girls don’t do labs," they said. "Stick to something easy." But easy wasn’t in my DNA. Neither was giving up.

At 16, life sucker-punched me. My mom got sick—really sick. The kind of sick that makes doctors shrug and bills pile up. We couldn’t afford fancy treatments, so I did what any desperate kid would do: I raided the library. Late nights hunched over textbooks, teaching myself genetics, praying for a miracle. Spoiler: Mom’s okay now (thank you, modern medicine 🏥), but that fire inside me? It never went out.

Fast-forward through a lot of ramen dinners, scholarship hustles, and lab-coat tears... and here I am. Engineering bacteria to eat plastic. Designing cells that glow like fireflies. Basically, playing God but make it ethical. 🔬💡

But here’s the thing—I’m still that girl next door. The one who burns toast, cries at dog videos, and believes science should be for everyone. So yeah, I’ll geek out over PCR machines, but I’ll also show you the bloopers (so many contaminated petri dishes...). Life’s too short to be perfect.

Fun fact: My first "lab" was a shoebox with a flashlight and expired yogurt cultures. Now I’ve got a PhD and a mission—to make science as warm and welcoming as a cup of tea. ☕️🧫

Stick around. Let’s change the world, one gene edit at a time. 💕
