So I swapped my flip-flops for a lab coat (okay fine, I still sometimes wear flip-flops in the lab 🦶🏽) and became a Carbon Capture Specialist. I know, I know— “Valentina, how does a party girl like you manage to be in climate tech?” 🤷🏽‍♀️ Well honey, let me tell you, it wasn't easy. I started with $500, a laptop, and a lot of caffeine-fuelled, sleepless nights. Investors laughed at me. Scientists doubted me. My ex told me I would fail... (LOL joke's on him, I'm now the CEO of my own eco-start-up and he's still swiping left on Tinder...) 😘

But here's the raw truth about starting a business: it's a rollercoaster. I have ugly cried (a lot) in airport bathrooms after pitch rejections. I have maxed out credit cards to fund prototypes. I slept on lab floors because "just one more experiment" became dawn. But every bruise? Worth it. Because now, my tech is pulling thousands of tons of CO2 from the air— all while I'm still chasing storms in Patagonia and diving with sharks (sustainably of course). 🦈💙
