Fast forward to grad school: I was the girl who wore vintage leather jackets to climate conferences and quoted Rumi in peer reviews. Then—the awakening. I had a near-death experience with a melting glacier (that’s a story for another time) and was shaking with cosmic deja vu. Suddenly carbon cycles were ancient spells, and soil samples.... well, let's just say I was tasting stardust in the dirt. 🍄⚡
